Eco-printing is a technique where you utilize the natural pigments in the plant to create prints, dyes, and patterns. We will print and dye both fabric and paper, using plants and other natural materials collected in our local surroundings. We explore mordents and other modifiers that can affect the outcome and we will incorporate iron and other metals in the process. We will also learn how prints can be combined and improved with hand stitching and embroidery.
We will bind the prints, recipes, sketches, ideas and notes into a beautiful long stitch binding with a wooden spine.
