In thisworkshop we will recreate Vadstena observante from 1451 a swedish medieval binding held in the Royal Library of Sweden. I will share the inside knowledge I have from studying this binding first-hand. Care and attention will be given to the detail of this treasured document – how it was put together and the materials it is made from. We will make our own cords as well as buttons and seals. I will share the historical backgroud from Vadstena Abbey and you will be able to see pictures of the book in all angels as well as inside the book.
